Hailing from Liverpool, England, Nutz was a talented four member band that deserved better than the RnR Gods allowed.

Serving up helpings of driving rock...Nutz should have taken off. But their debut album didn't drop when planned...and left the band touring with acts like Queen and Black Sabbath with nothing to promote.

Led by a refreshingly creative guitarist...Mick Devonport...and the charismatic singer Dave Lloyd...Nutz was boogie with a dose of prog-Zep. And had a distinctive sound many bands later would find success with. It was tasty rock made for FM.
Lost Gem:--> "As Far As The Eye Can See"...is filled with catchy guitar spank from Davenport meant to crank. And uncomplicated Lloyd vocals that joyously delivers the time over a solid drum/bass rhythm train.  This band was talented....but fickle blows the winds of fortune.

cracking band used to have 4 of their albums on vinyl did they ever get released on cd?

I've only heard their first two. (vinyl) I'm not sure if any Nutz albums were made available as CDs in the states. I could be wrong. Well worth seeking out, tho!

All 4 of their original albums came out on CD via Rock Candy Records (with bonus tracks & extensive sleeve notes). There's also an archival live CD called 'Live In Nottingham 1977,' a great sounding show recorded by the BBC for radio broadcast at that time.
Rock Candy also rereleased the 3 albums the band later recorded under the name 'Rage' too.

Interview -- Elliot Lurie (Looking Glass)

"...Your eyes could steal a sailor from the sea." ~ Looking Glass ~ Elliot Lurie was a singer/songwriter for the 70s band Looking Glass . The band recorded two albums and had a couple of hits along with a handful of deep-track FM cuts.  And as many bands are wont to do... Looking Glass called it a day and handed over the keys.  However, before cutting out, Looking Glass did leave us with the #1 hit song...
