This is simply a personal list of "lost gems & forgotten diamonds...radio stations should add to their rotation.

Most from the '70s decade...but not exclusively.

There is no ranking or countdown.  Only a number to keep track of how far along I've gotten.
I strongly encourage everyone to purchase the albums for an even better understanding.

200:--> "Rip Off" - T. Rex / "Electric Warrior" (1971)
A frenzied closing track that tends to make one believe Bolan could kick someone's ass.
"I'm the cat from the alley.
I'm the fleet-foot voodoo man."


199:--> "Shadow Play" - Rory Gallagher / "Photo Finish" (1978)
Never heard any Rory?  This one is a box of matches!
"I feel a little strange inside.
A little Dr. Jekyll...A little Mr. Hyde."


198:--> "That's All Right" - Steve Walsh / "Schemer Dreamer" (1980)
A rockin' little number that will help keep your car running in a pinch.
"Tries hard to look the part...
like she'd be nasty in the dark."


197:--> "Crossfade" - Manfred Mann's Earth Band /  "Nightingales And Bombers (1975)
Swirling prog jam. Still fresh and fierce.
Instrumental


196:--> "Pictures Of A City" - King Crimson / "In The Wake Of The Poseidon" (1970)
Struck from the same mold as "21st...Schizoid Man" but taken a step further.
"Concrete cold face cased in steel.
Stark sharp glass-eyed crack and peel."


195:--> "One More Time" - Joe Jackson / "Look Sharp" (1979)
A terrific guitar-driven number. Wish Joe had done more of this stuff.
"Tell me one more time as I hold your hand,
that you don't love me."


194:--> "Cockroach" - Sweet / "Give Us A Wink (1976)
A little more heavy metal thunder from this glam-band.
"You crawled into my bed
like a cockroach."


193:--> "The Hero & The Madman" - Thin Lizzy / Vagabonds Of The Western World" (1973)
A mythical Lynott tale leading to a blistering Eric Bell guitar solo.
"The madman climbed the steeple spire and let a crystal ball tear fall
on the crowd from down below."


192:--> "Fall Of The Peacemakers" - Molly Hatchet / "No Guts...No Glory" (1983)
This was lead singer Danny Joe Brown's 'Free Bird'.  A 3-guitar blitz.

191:--> "In My Life" - Barclay James Harvest / "Time Honoured Ghosts" (1975)
Opening guitar-driven laden track with a spiritual attitude.
"In my life, I have seen so many things.
Some were true and some were not what they seemed."

The Association . From gentle psych pop spinneries that tease the mind...to the lush vocal and instrumental arrangements that melt the heart... The Association. The Association were all of these and none of these. Lead by co-founder Terry Kirkman, it was never an "either/or" about the music.  No pigeonhole here.  It was simply "all" about the music.  And having at least 3 of the most radio-played songs in history...I'd say The Association were on to something.
